Method

  1. Brew the tea Place the Twinings English Breakfast Tea bags into a heatproof jug. Pour over 500 ml of freshly boiled water and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags without squeezing them.

  2. Add the honey While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until completely dissolved. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.

  3. Chill the tea Allow the tea to cool, then place it in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes, or until completely chilled.

  4. Prepare the glasses Fill two tall serving glasses generously with ice cubes. Add two fresh lemon slices to each glass.

  5. Pour and sparkle Divide the chilled tea evenly between the glasses. Slowly top each glass with chilled sparkling water and gently stir to combine.

  6. Garnish and serve Finish each glass with a fresh sprig of mint. Serve immediately while cold and sparkling.

Cook's tip

For an extra refreshing twist, freeze a few lemon slices or fresh mint leaves into your ice cubes before serving. For a stronger tea flavour, use an additional Twinings tea bag rather than steeping for too long, which can make the tea bitter.
